About Evangelist Tycsala Michelle Armstrong
Evangelist Tycsala Michelle Armstrong, born in Jersey City, New Jersey, is a beacon of faith, love, and compassion. Her spiritual journey began at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, where she and two of her children were baptized under the leadership of Pastor John H. McReynolds. She later served in youth ministry under Pastor David Wright at the Church of God in Christ on Park Avenue in Richmond, Virginia.
In 2008, she became a dedicated member of St. Paul’s Baptist Church in Richmond, VA, where she continues to grow in faith under the spiritual guidance of Dr. Lance D. Watson. In 2015, she deepened her theological understanding at Rhema School of Ministry, where she studied under Pastor Nathan Quick and Co-Pastor Tracy Quick.
Evangelist Tycsala is the Founder and Visionary of Listening Heart Ministries, a ministry birthed from her desire to create a safe and sacred space where hearts can be heard, healed, and led back to wholeness in Christ. Through this ministry, she continues to pour into others with love, wisdom, and divine insight.
Her servant leadership is evident in all she does—from mentoring a group of young girls known as “The Butterflies,” to organizing impactful community events, and volunteering her time at Makespace, where she nurtured creativity and hope through art with local youth. Tycsala’s heart beats for the next generation, and she is especially passionate about equipping them to walk in self-love, self-confidence, and spiritual purpose.
She holds an Associate’s Degree in Human Services and Drug Abuse Counseling from J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College and is a proud member of the National Honor Society. With a heart full of faith and a mission to uplift, Evangelist Tycsala Michelle Armstrong continues to inspire, empower, and transform lives—one listening heart at a time.
