Apostle Verenda K. Cobbs, affectionately known as Pastor V, is a dynamic faith leader, visionary strategist, and mentor whose life’s mission is to empower individuals, families, and communities to rise in purpose and resilience. A proud Hampton Roads, VA by way of Baltimore Maryland native, her journey of faith was ignited during her formative years at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), where she was deeply shaped by small group fellowship, intercession, and the transformative work of the Holy Spirit.
With more than two decades of professional and ministerial experience, Verenda has become a trusted voice in resiliency, leadership development, and spiritual empowerment. Her diverse background spans social work, mental health, education, grassroots organizing, nonprofit leadership, and life coaching—giving her a unique and holistic approach to helping people heal from trauma, cultivate resilience, and walk boldly in their God-given identity.
As a Resiliency & Empowerment Life Coach, she equips individuals with both practical tools and spiritual insight to overcome adversity and thrive emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Her mission is unwavering: to empower others to embrace their story, rise above limitations, and live victoriously.
Verenda is also an author, visionary, and founder of Aarise Kingdom Ministries and the Aarise & Shine Podcast—transformative platforms designed to uplift, heal, and activate women and communities for Kingdom impact. She boldly carries the mandate of Isaiah 60:1—“Arise and Shine”—reminding all that regardless of their past, their future in Christ is radiant with purpose and victory.
Her ministry is marked by profound revelation and a life-changing revival encounter that affirmed her call to the Gospel. She was licensed as a minister in 2008, ordained an Elder in 2011, installed as a Pastor in 2014, and publicly affirmed as an Apostle in 2022. These years of faithful service include a breadth of leadership roles—Associate Pastor, Executive Pastor, Youth Pastor, and Senior Pastor—each shaping her into a seasoned leader with deep insight into church administration, ministry development, and community transformation.
